How it works, in simple terms - 01
The words “Book an Appointment” will appear in a non-obtrusive but attention-getting manner near the bottom corner of your website. Clicking on it will launch the application.

After filling in their name and contact details, the patient/customer making the booking can select the service desired (if more than one), the service-provider (doctor, chiropractor, beautician, etc., if more than one.)
They can also specify the desired date and select from among the available times.
Once everything is ready, they make the booking.

An email notification with all the booking details is sent immediately to the person who made the booking
It will also contain a link to make it easier to cancel or re-schedule..
Reminders will also be sent automatically as the appointment date draws near for a final confirmation.
(This requires the use of an external enhanced email delivery service which we can set up for you.)

A notification with all the pertinent details will appear in your AppointSure dashboard on your website.
With this dashboard, you can perform a variety of tasks, including reviewing all appointments and cancelling or modifying a booking due to sudden unforeseen circumstances on your side (and email notification will go to the patient/customer).
The dashboard is also used in advance to list your services, service-providers, available dates/times, etc.

You can also elect to have a brief SMS text notification go automatically to the person who made the booking, in addition to an email being sent.
And like email notifications, a reminder SMS text message will be sent as the time of the appointment draws near.
(This requires the use of a SMS text messaging gateway which we can set up for you. See the FAQ section below to understand what this gateway is.)
How it works - 06
You may also choose to ask for payment upfront at the time of booking. This can be a full payment or partial payment.
All of this is can be processed through your PayPal account.

Here are answers to some frequently asked questions. If the answer to the question you may have does not appear hear, please ask it using our Contact Form above.
What do you need from us to get started?
If you are asking us to simply install the app, then aside from the initial payment, we would require the log-in details for your website.
If you are asking us to install and then setup the app, in addition to receiving the initial payment and your website log-in details, we would need details on how you operate. You would convey these details to us by responding to a questionnaire we will send you.
We realize that your login details are extremely sensitive information and will provide a means for you to easily and securely convey them to us through blockchain encryption.
If we require the patient/customer to pay us when booking, how would they do that?
You would have them to pay to your PayPal account. The patient/customer does not have to worry if they do not have a PayPal account. They can pay with their credit/debit card through PayPal without an account.
How long after signing up will the app be working?
As long you respond to our questionnaire in a timely manner, we typically require one week for set up and testing . If you are in a hurry, please contact us and we might be able to expedite the process.
What is PayPal?
PayPal is an American company established in December 1998. While undergoing a few name changes, it has grown to become a highly-reputed and extremely-popular payment processor for internet money transfers, trusted by millions of consumers and businesses in more than 200 countries around the world. At one time, it was a subsidiary of eBay but has since spun off as a separate publicly-traded company, Even if you have never heard of PayPal, chances are that one of your family members, friends, or business associates has an account. Currently, it has over 431 million active users.
Can you set up a PayPal account for us?
Unfortunately, they will not allow us. PayPal is very strong on security and one of their steadfast requirements is that only the intended account holder themself can register and setup the new account.
They have extremely sophisticated security measures in place to detect the location of the person attempting to setup a new account. If that person is not in the general location of the address they are trying to register, PayPal will block them.
We can, however, give you guidance on how to register and setup a new account.
Also, please keep in mind that a PayPal account can be very useful to have beyond using it for accepting payments from patients/customers for bookings.
For payment, does my patient/customer need a PayPal account?
No, they do not. Even though payments will be billed through PayPal, they do not need an account with them. They can pay with their credit or debit card without opening their own account with PayPal.
Depending on their location, during the initial payment processing PayPal may offer them an opportunity to open an account with them. They can simply decline their offer and carry on with the payment processing.
